ORIGIN STORY:
 

• In 1956, Mr. John Jacobs, a WWII veteran who was a U.S. patent holder, and his business partner, Mr. Cathey, opened Jacobs Cathey Company, a heating and air conditioning company in Waco, Texas. The original location of Jacobs Cathey Co. was on Valley Mills, where the business sold Carrier air conditioning systems to families, businesses, factories, schools, churches, hospitals, and government facilities. Seventy years later, we're still going strong.

THE NEXT PHASE:
 

• In 1989, Nancy S. Perryman, a Baylor alum and former Baylor faculty member, bought the company and moved Jacobs Cathey to its current location. Because of Jacobs Cathey's positive reputation as Waco's preferred HVAC company, the company's name and phone number has remained the same since 1956. We are family owned and operated, and many of our employees and customers have been with us for generations.

ENTERING OUR 70th YEAR:
 

• In 2026, we provide all major air conditioning and heating brands, and our residential and commercial HVAC solutions remain one of the foundations of so much of our community. Jacobs Cathey consistently receives awards within our industry for standards of excellence.​​​​

Waco and Central Texas are great places to raise a family and participate in the community. We offer customized residential HVAC systems, innovative commercial air conditioning and heating solutions, and we have an in-house sheet metal shop where we craft our own ductwork for full customization. We're grateful to be a consistent presence in the area and the longest-serving air conditioning and heating company in Waco, Texas.
